The 2378B line was developed at the Maize Research Institute in Knezha, Bulgaria, and serves as an initial component for the creation of new highly adaptive hybrids. This material is not a commercial variety and is not intended for general sowing in agricultural production.
During field research, the line demonstrated high tolerance to moisture deficiency. The plants showed improved water metabolism and stability in ear leaf area indices, as well as a weak response in stalk height under drought conditions.
