The corn hybrid DK 250 (known by the synonym Boss) is a breeding development associated with the activities of the company G.I.E. Sockalb and Pioneer specialists. In a number of publications from that period, this variety is mentioned as one of the most in-demand hybrids on the German market.
Detailed morphological characteristics and parameters of disease resistance are absent in open sources. The use of the hybrid as a standard in comparative trials is documented; in particular, its early flowering is noted. Studies were also conducted to determine the genetic purity of the seeds using zein protein electrophoresis.
