The line belongs to the Reid (SSS) germplasm group and is used in breeding programs to develop new maize hybrids.

The breeding index possesses biochemical characteristics, in particular, the ability to accumulate an increased content of beta-carotene in the grain, which is approximately 1.609 mg/kg.
