The line was developed for use in scientific research and agronomic comparisons with transgenic hybrids of the same breeding line, such as DKC6667. It is not intended for commercial cultivation by agricultural producers or for general market circulation.
The object possesses morphological characteristics similar to the transgenic versions, with the exception of the absence of genetic inserts. During plant health monitoring in the course of comparative trials, the presence of Fusarium spp. fungal infections on the stems of this line was noted.
The primary scope of application for DKC6666 includes toxicological trials and the safety assessment of GMO maize for animal feed.
