The maize hybrid Fjord (also Fjörd) is classified as a flint-type. In forage value studies, the variety demonstrated specific rumen degradability characteristics typical for this grain type.
The plant was mentioned in the context of trials for suitability to organic farming conditions. At present, the hybrid belongs to previous years' breeding and is not represented in current KWS commercial catalogs.
