ActiveZea mays L. · Maize
Pioneer Overseas Cor, USA
10 August 2026
The hybrid belongs to the mid-season maturity group with maturity ratings of S 250 for silage use and K 270 for grain. The variety was used for the production of silage and grain, and was also investigated for biogas production efficiency, demonstrating high methane yield indicators.
Agronomic characteristics note the dependence of yield on planting density. Studies of silage mass quality showed high starch content and good digestibility of the feed.
This hybrid received wide mention in European scientific literature in the 2000s and early 2010s, often acting as a standard variety in comparative trials with genetically modified lines.
