The Goldosse maize variety is specialized for silage cultivation. In accordance with the German classification of silage varieties, it belongs to the mid-early maturity group and has a rating of S 230.
The variety was entered into the national register of Germany in 2004 and appeared for a number of years in the official descriptive lists of varieties of the Federal Plant Variety Office (Bundessortenamt).
