The GW3378 F1 hybrid is characterized by a growing season of 118–121 days and a plant height of 270 to 330 cm. The ear is attached at a height of 120–125 cm, has a length of 25–27 cm, and contains 14–18 rows of dent-type kernels, yellow-orange in color.
The plant possesses a well-developed root system, high resistance to lodging and major crop diseases, as well as a stay-green effect and a high rate of moisture loss. The hybrid is suitable for grain production, silage, and the production of corn biomass for methane.
The recommended plant density is 62,000–64,000 plants per hectare when grown under rainfed conditions and 80,000–85,000 plants per hectare under irrigation.
