The Kelada hybrid belongs to traditional maize varieties. In a number of scientific papers, it was used as a control material when conducting comparative trials of grain nutritional value.
The purpose of the hybrid is for use in animal feed and food products. Detailed agronomic characteristics of the plant, such as maturity group or indicators of disease resistance, are absent in open publications.
