The Kneja 307 hybrid is a product of the Maize Research Institute in the city of Kneja. It is included in the list of standard hybrids for commercial use in Bulgaria and is oriented towards grain production.
In scientific publications, the hybrid is used to study the physiological responses of plants to low temperatures and moisture deficit. Research is also conducted on the state of the photosynthetic apparatus and the content of macronutrients in the plant organs of this hybrid.
Individual studies are devoted to assessing the resistance of the hybrid to pathogens, in particular to diseases caused by fungi of the genus Exserohilum.
