The L-255/75-5 line was bred at the Maize Research Institute "Zemun Polje" (Serbia) and belongs to the LSC heterotic group. It is specialized breeding material with a narrow genetic base, intended for use as a parental component in hybrid breeding programs.
As genetic material, this line is used in the creation of a number of commercial hybrids bred by the institute, including ZP 555, ZP 560, and ZP 5090. Detailed morphological characteristics of the plant as a separate variety are absent in publications.
