The maize hybrid LG 22 44 belongs to the mid-early group with a FAO 230 rating and possesses the 'stay green' trait. The plant reaches a height of up to 230 cm, the ear forms 14–16 rows of kernels with 32 kernels in each, and the thousand kernel weight is about 330 g.

The crop is characterized by high early growth vigor and drought tolerance. The hybrid is resistant to loose and common smut, Fusarium ear rot, and also possesses high lodging resistance.

The recommended plant density at harvest time is 70–80 thousand plants/ha on optimally moistened soils and 60–70 thousand plants/ha in case of moisture deficiency. Cultivation on heavy, solonetzic, or compacted soils is not recommended.
