The mid-maturing Mecano maize hybrid has a plant height of 270–280 cm, with the ear attachment at a level of 110–120 cm. The grain type is dent; 16–18 rows are formed in the ear with 36–39 grains in each. The thousand kernel weight is 290–310 g.
The hybrid is stay-green and features a semi-erect leaf type. It is characterized by high resistance to lodging, drought, and loose smut, as well as very rapid grain moisture loss during ripening. The yield potential reaches 18 t/ha.
