SY Miami belongs to the group of late-maturing hybrids with FAO 600. Plant height varies between 240–270 cm. The ear is cylindrical in shape; the grain type is semi-flint or dent.
The hybrid possesses high resistance to lodging, drought, high temperatures, and major pathogens. The grain contains 71–73% starch and carotenoids, which makes it suitable for processing into grits and starch, as well as for use in beef and dairy livestock rations.
