The variety is classified as silage maize. It was characterized by an early maturity period, ripening 3–4 weeks earlier than a number of other varieties of its time. The features of the hybrid were improved ear maturation and higher forage value in comparison with competitors.
In the late 1990s, the variety was used in trials on the application of micronutrient fertilizers containing zinc and manganese for seed treatment.
