The hybrid Nikita belongs to the mid-early maturity group with FAO 270. The plants reach a height of 270–280 cm, in some cases up to 350 cm. The grain is of the flint-dent type, and the ear forms 14–18 rows with 30–32 kernels in each.
The plant possesses high lodging resistance, as well as tolerance to common smut and Fusarium. An important feature is the high initial growth vigor and long-lasting green coloration of the leaves. The silage is characterized by high digestibility with a good grain-to-mass ratio.
