The hybrid belongs to the mid-season group with an FAO rating of 270 and is intended for grain cultivation. The plants are medium-height; the grain has an intermediate type, closer to dent.
The ear is large, containing 14–16 rows with 35 grains in each; the thousand kernel weight is approximately 310 grams. The hybrid demonstrates resistance to leaf and ear diseases and is claimed to be drought and cold tolerant.
NK Olimpic is also used in breeding programs as a parental component.
