The Npid4809 line was obtained by breeders through the crossing of two inbred lines, NP2623 and NP2529, followed by multi-year selection to achieve genetic stability. This material is intended exclusively for breeding purposes within the developer company and is not used for the direct cultivation of commercial products.
During the evaluation of the line, breeders focused on morphological uniformity, synchrony of inflorescence flowering, and plant health. Key selection criteria included resistance to stalk rots, ear filling, and high general and specific combining ability in the creation of hybrid combinations.
