The PX 74 maize hybrid is a field type of maize intended for grain production. In historical agricultural literature, it appears primarily as an object for comparative agrotechnical research.
During trials conducted in the 1970s and 1980s, the variety was used in experiments to study the effect of soil salinity on germination and growth indicators. The yield potential of this hybrid under various irrigation regimes was also studied.
