Variety description

The hybrid belongs to the FAO 250–260 maturity group. The plant reaches a height of 240–250 cm, with ears attached at a height of 90–95 cm. The ear length is 23–24 cm, the number of grain rows is 16–18, and the cob is red. The grain turnout is 84–85%, and the thousand kernel weight is 330–340 g. The grain contains about 9.8% protein and 76.5% starch.

The plant is distinguished by rapid initial growth and good moisture release during ripening. It possesses high resistance to lodging, ear droop, major diseases, including smut and stalk rots, as well as to the European corn borer. The potential grain yield is 10.5–11.0 t/ha.

The hybrid is intended for cultivation in the Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissia zones. The recommended plant density at the time of harvest varies from 55 to 67 thousand plants per hectare depending on the cultivation zone. In addition to use for grain and silage, the crop is promising for bioenergy.
