A key morphophysiological feature of the variety is high salt tolerance to chloride soil salinity. The plant possesses a protective mechanism in which sodium ions are concentrated primarily in the roots, without spreading to the above-ground part of the plant. Studies were also conducted on the reaction of this hybrid's root exudates to broomrape seeds.
