The maize «Амиго» has a plant height of 250–270 cm with an ear placement height of 105–120 cm. The average ear length is 28 cm, the number of grain rows varies from 14 to 16, and the number of grains per row is 37–39.
The hybrid possesses resistance to lodging, early spring frosts, and drought, and also exhibits tolerance to the Fusarium pathogen. Information about the hybrid's originator is contradictory and points to either the company «Евросем» or the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops NS Seme.
