Successful petunia cultivation in flower beds relies on maintaining loose, nutrient-rich soil with a pH of 5.5–6.5 and ensuring adequate drainage. Planting density must be strictly controlled to prevent fungal diseases, such as grey mold and powdery mildew, which occur under conditions of stagnant moisture. To maintain the aesthetic quality of bushy varieties, regular pinching is required to prevent stems from becoming bare.
