Variety description

The variety is a compact tree or shrub with a height of 5–10 meters with highly branched shoots. Young growth has an intense red color, while older branches are colored a dark, almost black color.

The foliage is densely arranged and glossy. Young leaves are red with greenish bases; over time they turn green, and in autumn they acquire a bright orange-red shade.

The plant is characterized by a slow growth rate, good winter hardiness and high resistance to powdery mildew. It is undemanding to soils, prefers sunny locations and moderately moist substrates, and tolerates pruning well.
