Variety description

The plant is a deciduous shrub or small tree with a spreading, umbrella-shaped or cascading crown with age. The height of an adult specimen is usually 2–3 meters; under certain conditions, it can reach 5–6 meters. Growth is slow.
The leaves are deeply dissected, lacy. Spring color is bright ruby or red, changing in summer to dark red or burgundy-purple; in hot climates, green-red shades are possible. In autumn, the foliage becomes bright orange-red.
The variety belongs to the dissectum group and is relatively resistant to foliage sunburn. The frost hardiness zone corresponds to 5. The plant requires protection from strong winds and well-drained soils to prevent moisture stagnation.
