Variety description

Hana Matoi is a slow-growing maple of the dissectum group, reaching a height of 1.2–1.8 meters. The plant has a cascading, umbrella-shaped crown with drooping branches.
Finely dissected leaves have a variable coloration: in spring — bright red with pink streaks, in summer — from green to bronze with cream speckles. In the autumn period, the foliage acquires intense orange-red tones.
The variety is hardy, possessing USDA hardiness zones 5–9. It requires protection from direct scorching sun and strong winds to prevent damage to the delicate foliage.
