The plant forms a dense bush 25 to 40 cm tall with upright stems and finely dissected green or gray-green foliage. The inflorescences are flat corymbs consisting of small red flowers with yellow centers, which may change color to pinkish-red as they age.

The variety is a perennial herbaceous plant with a long flowering period from late spring to autumn. It possesses high drought tolerance and winter hardiness in USDA zones 4a–9a. Suitable for use in borders, containers, and for cut flowers; it thrives in sun provided that soil drainage is ensured.
