The plant forms a compact, erect, bushy shrub 50 to 80 cm tall with delicate pinnately dissected foliage of green or gray-green color, possessing a spicy aroma. The inflorescences are dense corymbs 6–10 cm in diameter, which have an intense lavender-pink color upon opening, gradually fading to a pale pink or cream shade.

The variety is intended for flower beds, mixed borders, and container gardening, and is suitable for cutting and use as dried flowers. The plant is characterized by drought tolerance, high winter hardiness, and resistance to diseases and pests. It prefers sunny areas with well-drained soils; excessive moisture and high fertility can lead to lodging of the stems.

Flowering lasts from June to September, most intensely from July to August. Deadheading spent inflorescences may induce re-flowering.
