Variety description

The plant forms a compact cushion-shaped habit, reaching about 35–36 cm in height and up to 60 cm in width. The leaves are dark green, sessile, ranging from lanceolate to subulate, with finely serrated margins. The inflorescences are corymbose, consisting of numerous double white flowers; flowering continues throughout the summer.

The variety prefers open sunny sites with well-drained soils and tolerates waterlogging poorly. Under unfavorable conditions, infections by rot, powdery mildew, or rust are possible. During strong winds, the stems may lodge; in such cases, pruning is recommended.

It is used in landscape design to create groups, mass plantings in borders, naturalistic gardens, and as a decorative groundcover plant. It is also used for cut flowers.
