Variety description

The plant forms a compact bushy habit 45–60 cm in height. The leaves are narrow, lanceolate, serrated, and have a dark green glossy shade. The ivory-colored double flowers are gathered in inflorescences that externally resemble those of Gypsophila.
The variety prefers full sun or partial shade, as well as moist but well-drained soils. It possesses high winter hardiness (USDA zones 3–8). It is resistant to grazing by deer and rabbits, but may be susceptible to powdery mildew; it is prone to lodging if over-fertilized.
Used in ornamental gardening for borders, mass plantings, container cultivation, and as a cut flower crop, including for dried bouquets.
