Variety description

The plant is a large, bushy, rhizomatous deciduous perennial with a height of 150 to 200 cm. The leaves are deeply dissected, maple-like in shape, and have a dark purple, almost black color.
The inflorescences are long, graceful, and drooping, consisting of small fragrant white flowers. Flowering occurs from August to October.
The variety is winter hardy, tolerating USDA zones 4–8. It prefers partial shade or shade, humus-rich, moist and well-drained soil; it poorly tolerates waterlogging.
