Variety description

The ZESH004 variety is an interspecific hybrid obtained by crossing a hexaploid form of Actinidia deliciosa and a diploid form of Actinidia chinensis. The plant forms a vigorous vine.
Fruits mature early and possess high sugar and vitamin C content with reduced acidity. During development, the skin of the fruits transitions from the characteristics of yellow-fleshed varieties to the formation of a protective layer by mid-season. The fruit flesh is green, acquiring a yellowish-green hue when stored in warm conditions.
The variety demonstrates lower susceptibility to the bacterial disease Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae compared to the Hayward variety.
