The plant is a low-growing shrub about 0.4 m in height. The foliage consists of silvery-green pinnate leaves up to 3 cm long, having 5–7 lobes. The variety is characterized by bright scarlet flowers and a creeping growth habit.

The plant is relatively resistant to pests and diseases and is capable of withstanding frosts down to -7 °C. The crop prefers well-drained soils and is suitable for growing in pots and hanging baskets throughout the year.
