The variety is an upright evergreen shrub with deeply dissected leaves 35–40 mm long, having a silvery-green hue. The plant is capable of reaching a height of up to 3 meters and forms scarlet flowers.
The plant is used as a cut foliage crop due to the durability of the leaves and as a potted plant, suitable for shaping into topiary figures, bonsai, or a 'Christmas tree'. The variety tolerates pruning well, is undemanding regarding watering and fertilizers, possesses resistance to pests and diseases, and tolerates light frosts.
