The variety is a mutation or form of Aechmea 'Fascini'; there is also information about its origin resulting from a cross between Aechmea chantinii and Aechmea fasciata. The plant was developed using in vitro tissue culture techniques.

A distinctive morphological feature of the variety is the completely smooth leaf margins, which are devoid of spines. The dark pink inflorescence possesses high durability, maintaining its decorative quality for up to 16 weeks.

The plant reaches 45–60 cm in height and up to 70 cm in width. The variety is characterized as slow-growing, prefers diffused light or shading, and is sensitive to humidity and frost. It is used as a potted crop for interior landscaping.
