The plant forms a rosette of silvery-green leaves with horizontal stripes. The height ranges from 30 to 90 cm, and the width is up to 60–80 cm. The main morphological trait of the variety is the completely smooth leaf margins, in contrast to the spiny leaves of the original species.
A flower stalk with bright pink bracts and small violet-blue flowers develops from the center of the rosette; the blooming period lasts up to half a year. The variety is a sterile hybrid; after flowering, the mother rosette dies off, producing lateral shoots for propagation.
The plant is considered relatively low-maintenance in indoor conditions when provided with diffused light and moderate watering. Upon reaching maturity, flowering occurs when grown from offsets within 3–4 years.
