The plant reaches a height of 3 to 8 meters and has a vase-shaped crown that eventually becomes umbrella-shaped. When leaves emerge in spring, they have a greenish tint with orange-red accents, later acquiring a chocolate-purple color. They have a fern-like structure and the ability to fold at night or during drought.
Flowering occurs in July–August, when pink fluffy inflorescences with long stamens bloom on the tree. The variety is slow- or medium-growing compared to species forms and is used primarily for decorative purposes as a specimen plant or container crop.
The variety belongs to hardiness zones 7b–10b, so it requires winter protection at a young age. The plant prefers sunny locations, exhibits tolerance to heat and drought, but may be susceptible to infestation by certain types of pests, for example, moths.
