The Prospector F1 hybrid is characterized by round-shaped bulbs, a dense structure, and the presence of firm, dark bronze-colored outer scales. The growing period is approximately 103–104 days. The plant possesses resistance to pink root rot.

The variety is intended for cultivation in long-day regions and is oriented toward long-term storage of produce. The primary cultivation zones are the northeastern United States and the Pacific Northwest.
