The variety is a representative of short-day onions with a growing season of 75 to 110 days. The plant reaches a height of 30–60 cm and has a vigorous leaf apparatus with a waxy bloom. The bulbs are characterized by light yellow or golden-brown dry scales.
The average bulb weight is 120–200 g, reaching 400–500 g with intensive care. The variety is known for its mild taste and is intended for fresh consumption. The 502 PRR version has resistance to pink root rot, while the variety is sensitive to day length and stores for no more than 1–2 months.
