The Hysinger (F1) variety is a Rijnsburger-type yellow onion hybrid. The bulbs are round in shape with tight straw-golden colored scales that adhere closely to the bulb.
The primary commercial purpose of the hybrid is industrial processing, including peeling, and use in the catering industry due to the large size of the bulbs. The variety is suitable for long-term storage and is also used in professional studies of onion properties.
