The name translates as "domestic spring" and denotes a number of local ecotypes adapted to specific growing conditions in the region. Since this is not a breeding variety, detailed morphological characteristics of the plants are absent in open sources.
The plant belongs to the spring type of garlic; however, many ecotypes show resistance to low temperatures, which allows them to be used for winter planting as well. With autumn planting, the growing season increases, which contributes to the formation of larger bulbs and higher yields.
