The variety belongs to the non-bolting garlic group. The plants have broad leaves. The bulbs are flat-round to round in shape, and the outer scales are white or grayish-white.
Each bulb contains 8 to 13, sometimes up to 15, medium-sized cloves, including the inner layers. The variety is characterized as early, with harvest usually occurring in mid-July. The taste is described as pungent and noble.
The variety is intended for autumn planting, direct consumption, and storage. The Záhorský II version is an improved and virus-free selection of the original variety.
