The variety is a natural mutation of the Alocasia zebrina plant, discovered in 2016. Stability of traits was confirmed through vegetative propagation using the meristem tissue culture method.
The plant possesses a compact habit and relatively small dark green leaf blades. The long petioles have a pattern of black irregular stripes and spots on a background varying from light brown to yellow-green color.
The variety is intended for use as an ornamental houseplant. Due to its compactness, it is suitable for cultivation in small containers with a volume of about 12 cm. In Japan, it is known under the trade name «Алоказия Сибирский тигр».
