The variety was obtained by selecting serviceberry seedlings originally classified as Amelanchier canadensis, although in a number of sources the plant is referred to the species Amelanchier spicata. The shrub is characterized by a narrow vertical crown and relative compactness, reaching a height of about 2.5 meters.
The dark blue fruits are spherical in shape with an average diameter of 12 mm and are notable for their juiciness and sweet taste. Berry ripening occurs gradually at the end of June. The variety is suitable for fresh consumption, drying, and processing, has no strict soil requirements, but prefers sunny locations.
