Anemone × lesseri is a natural hybrid between Anemone multifida and Anemone sylvestris. The plant height during the flowering period is 25–40 cm. The bush is dense, cushion-shaped, with finely dissected delicate foliage; flower stalks are upright and resistant to lodging.
The flowers are simple, cup-shaped, 3–5 cm in diameter, ranging in color from pink-raspberry to carmine-red. The flowering period occurs in May–June. The plant possesses high winter hardiness, corresponding to USDA zone 4a.
The plant is sterile and does not form seeds; propagation occurs only vegetatively through division of the bush or root cuttings. The crop is used in ornamental gardening for the design of alpine gardens, rock gardens, and flower beds.
