The variety is mentioned in agronomic studies as a hybrid possessing high foliage density. In tests, the variety demonstrated a peduncle length of up to 39 cm, a peduncle diameter and spadix length of about 8 cm, with a spathe length of 15 cm. Cut flowers retain their decorative qualities for 21 days.
There are other plants with the name «Esmeralda» that are ornamental-foliage forms and do not belong to the Anthurium andraeanum group. These include collector forms such as Anthurium warocqueanum 'Esmeralda' and hybrids such as 'Esmeralda Luxury', valued for the texture and shape of their leaves.
