The variety is intended for cultivation as a pot plant. The leaves are large, heart-shaped, and dark green; young leaves may have a reddish hue. The spathes are large, pink-red, heart-shaped, and under experimental conditions opened at or slightly below the foliage level.

The plant is sensitive to temperature conditions: in hot greenhouses, the leaves may wilt and the flower color may fade. During comparative trials, a relatively low flowering intensity was noted. Current plant height indicators vary between 20–60 cm, and the inflorescences maintain a vertical position.

There is a possibility of confusion between the historical variety and the modern commercial hybrid of the «Royal Pink Champion» series, which may lead to differences in the characteristics of plants offered under the common name.
