The Anna variety is an officially registered breeding achievement within the Aphelandra squarrosa species. Plants of this species are compact evergreen shrubs possessing glossy leaves with prominent white veins and characteristic spicate inflorescences, most often having a golden-yellow color.
Under indoor conditions, the height of plants of this species usually varies from 30 to 60 cm. A detailed description of unique morphological traits or specific agrotechnical characteristics of the Anna variety itself is absent in open publications.
