Variety description

The White Wash variety was obtained as a result of selective breeding between the original form of Aphelandra squarrosa and the Snow White variety. A key feature of the variety is the presence of pronounced white or bleached coloration on the leaves, which distinguishes it from the wild form of the species with dark green foliage and light veins.
The plant is a compact subshrub, reaching a height of 25–30 cm at the time of sale, although under favorable conditions it is capable of growing to one meter or more. Like other representatives of the species, the variety is sensitive to growing conditions: it requires air humidity of at least 60% and a temperature of no lower than 13–15°C, and is prone to stem exposure if these conditions are violated.
