The plant forms a vigorous rosette 45–50 cm tall with dark green leaves resembling large parsley in shape, and thin petioles. The vegetation period until the start of harvesting greens is 90–110 days.

Varieties of this type possess cold tolerance, resistance to bolting, and a number of viral diseases. The leaves and stems have an intense taste and aroma and are used fresh, for preparing soups, sauces, and other dishes.
